My great-grandmother Anna Elizabeth Jane (Rutledge) Johnson.
Who was the daughter of Louisa Harless and (William or Charles) Rutledge of
the Athens, Sweetwater, Mt. Vernon area of Tennessee.
I am told that Eliza was some kind of direct descendant of the Edward Rutledge
family, one of the signers of the Declaration of Independence.
This is a 1890 picture Eliza and her husband Joseph Calvin Johnson b.1867 in
Coal Creek,TN. d.1930 Bell County,KY. Their Daughter Gertrude (my great-aunt)
b.1890 Black Oak Ridge, TN d. 1986 Ft. Lauderdale Florida.
