John was the son of Thomas and Eleanor Allison Harless of Madison Co., AL, and
the husband of Clemenza Moon Harless. John and Clemenza were married June 3,
1867 at Madison Co., AL. John and Clemenza had three sons: John B., Claude D.
and Oscar R.; and four daughters, Emily Ellender, Mary May, Anna Daisy and
Maggie.
John moved his family from AL to TX to AR and finally settled in Beauregard
Par., Louisiana. John and Clemenza's daughter, Maggie, married Zook Galloway,
one of the owners and operators of the Galloway Lumber Company which was at
Grabow, Louisiana. Burial:
