HARLESS, Alfred A.:  Alfred A. Harless Jr. of Marmet died July 8, 1997, in Memorial Division, CAMC, after a long illness.  He was a retired Minneapolis police officer, a veteran of the Korean War, a member of the Masonic Lodge in Arizona and of BPOE 202 and a former member of the Lions Club, South Charleston.  Surviving: wife, Dinace Eskins Harless; sons, Marc at home, Michael of Minneapolis; daughters, Debra Congrove of Columbus, Ohio, Lisa Brady of Minneapolis, Christa Harless of Florida; stepmother, Emma Gunnoe of Twilight; sister, Betty Jo Carroll of Globe, Ariz.; brothers, John of Cape Cod, Mass., Siebert of Charleston, Forrest of Twilight; nine grandchildren.  Private family memorial service will be 7 p.m. Thursday at Springfork Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Mike Long officiating. The body was donated to the Human Gift Registry. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Elks National Foundation, P.O. Box 1591, Charleston, W.Va. 25326.

HARLESS, Alice Noel Wednesday Morning, January 23, 1957, Bluefield Daily Telegraph, Bluefield, Mercer County , WV MRS. ALICE NOEL HARLESS   Mrs. Alice Noel Harless, widow of W. L. Harless of Narrows, Va., died yesterday at the home of her daughter Mrs. C. L. Shrewsberry of Narrows following a short illness.  Surviving, other than her daughter are three sons, O. C. Harless of Narrows, R. H. Harless of Hopewell, Va., and R. E. Harless of Rising Sun, Md.  One other daughter, Mrs. T. C. Bailey of Davey and 13 grandchildren also survive.   The body will remain at the Riffe Funeral Home in Narrows  until 12:30 tomorrow when it will be taken to the Baptist Church at Bozzo, where funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. with the Rev. B. F. Sublett, pastor of the church officiating.  Interment will follow in the Pennington Cemetery at Bozzo.

HARLESS, Andrew Sr. Andrew Harless Sr., age 84, and lifelong resident of Madison County, died yesterday at 3:30 p.m. at his home at 2301 W. 16th Street, after an illness of 3 months.  Brown & Eckenberg Funeral Home handled the arrangements.  Funeral services will be Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at the Missionary Pilgrim Holiness Church, with the Rev. R. Johnson officiating.  Burial will be in Huntsville Cemetery.  Three sons survive:  Sylva Harless of Anderson  Andrew Harless Jr. of Anderson  Everett Harless of Indianapolis Two daughters survive:  Lennie Ethel Musick of Anderson  Mamie Musick of Anderson 36 grandchildren survive One brother survives:  John Wesley Harless of Anderson One sister survives:  Mrs. Dot McCord of Anderson

HARLESS, Anna Union City Evening Time, Monday, May 16, 1938. End comes - Mrs. Anna Harless passes away after a short illness. - Had lived practically all her life in this city.  The funeral services for Mrs. Anna Harless, 77, took place this morning at 10 o'clock, conducted by Rev. Holroyd, at the Brooks Funeral Home.  Mrs. Harless was the widow of the late Patrick Harless and lived practically all her life in this city at 414 N. Howard street, where she died. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Badalow and received her schooling in the Ft. Recovery, O. (I assume Ohio) schools. She was a true Christian woman and  a member of the Christian church.
