Harless, James Randle:  NASHVILLE : James Randle Harless, 70, died Dec. 25, 2002, at Nashville General Hospital. He was born Sept. 19, 1932, in Man, W.Va., son of the late Chester Thomas and Gracie Cooksey Harless. He was a mechanic and taxi driver in Nashville and Little Rock, Ark. He was preceded in death by brothers, George Junior, William Eugene and Robert Lee; and sister, Emogene Harless. Survivors include daughter, Angie (Willard) Harless Bowling of Huntsville, Tenn.; sons, George (Melissa) of Pineknott, Ky., Richard Lee (Gina) of Little Rock, Ark., and Ricky Harless; sisters, Ruby V. Kirkpatrick of Victorville, Calif., and Opal Panel of Titusville, Fla.; seven grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. The family wants to acknowledge with great appreciation the dedication and love of his precious friends, Barbara Scarbrough and Mother Irene Allen, both of Nashville. Interment was in Monteagle Cemetery.

HARLESS, John Burton:   WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS - John Burton Harless, 76, of White Sulphur Springs died Aug. 4, 1997, at home after a long illness.  He was retired from Pipefitters Union Local 491, Roanoke, Va., and attended First Church of God, White Sulphur Springs.  Surviving: wife, Edna Henson Harless; son, Larry Harless of Stedman, N.C.; daughter, Freda Dillon of Princeton; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.  Service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Shanklin Funeral Home, White Sulphur Springs, with the Rev. HARLESS, June Montgomery:  GILBERT - June Montgomery Harless, 78, wife of timber and coal businessman James H. "Buck" Harless, died Tuesday at home in Gilbert following a long illness.  She was active in the founding of the Larry Joe Harless Community Center in Gilbert. The grand opening of the center was delayed Saturday because of her illness.  She was a member of the Gilbert Presbyterian Church and was past moderator of the Women of the Church. Harless and her husband had recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary at The Greenbrier resort.  Also surviving: daughter, Judith Ann Burgess of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.  Service will be 11 a.m. Friday at Gilbert Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Don Chichester officiating. Burial will be in the family cemetery, Gilbert. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the church.
